Electric-welded tubes

According to current regulatory and technical documentation, electric-welded tubes are classified by the type of cross-section. For each cross-section type there is a GOST standard describing the technical requirements for the manufactured product. The applicable GOSTs are listed in the summary table of produced tubes.

Please note that a key advantage of our company is not only the production of tubes from galvanized strip —

galvanized tubes

but also the technical capability to manufacture thin-walled electric-welded tubes with wall thicknesses starting from 0.5 mm.

The tubes produced by our enterprise are manufactured by induction welding from cold-rolled low-carbon steels grades 08ps, 10 (GOST 16523-97), 08Yu (GOST 9045-93), from galvanized steel and from hot-rolled strip.

The following tube-welding mills (lines) are used for tube production:

• TESA 6-30 (OJSC “EZTM”, Russia);
• WU–2.00 (“Turek and Heller”, USA).

A coolant/lubricant (cutting/cooling fluid) is used in the production process; it is a water-soluble emulsion that ensures the absence of an oil film on the tube surface. This type of emulsion significantly reduces labor intensity in manufacturing the final product. At the customer’s request, oiling of tubes and application of a preservation coating on the tubes in the mill line is possible. Tube lengths are produced as exact or in multiples (by prior arrangement) in the range from 3000 mm to 7000 mm. Finished bundles of tubes are banded with steel straps into packs weighing from 1 to 2 tonnes. Tubes are stored in enclosed warehouses to prevent exposure to atmospheric precipitation.
